The two week holiday that my wife Liz and I enjoyed in Devon and Cornwall in September 2019 took us all over the region, taking in the beautiful landscapes and coastlines.
Included in our list of places to explore was the south Cornish coast, and we spent a good amount of time driving around the little fishing villages that line this stretch of the English Channel.
One such spot that we spent some time looking round was Mevagissey, and I must admit I fell in love with the place as soon as I saw it.
With its inner and outer harbour, lined with working fishing boats, wharfs and other dockland paraphenalia, Mevagissey was a sensory delight, and in the end we made two extended visits here, capturing the views and ambiance at different times of the day.
This view, overlooking the outer harbour and houses on the hill opposite, was taken from the outer harbour wall as the sun was sinking towards the western horizon, casting gorgeous low angled light over the rocks, boats and buildings as cumulus clouds drifted by overhead.
The fish and chips were to die for as well!

Filters - 2 stop neutral density graduated filter used to reduce the brightness of the sky.

Image enhancements - Adobe Lightroom
Comments - Image underexposed slightly to preserve highlights, with shadow areas subsequently brightened in Adobe Lightroom.
