The two week holiday that my wife Liz and I enjoyed in Devon and Cornwall in September 2019 took us all over the region, taking in the beautiful landscapes and coastlines.
Included in our list of places to explore was the south Cornish coast, and we spent a good amount of time driving around the little fishing villages that line this stretch of the English Channel.
One such spot that we spent some time looking round was Mevagissey, and I must admit I fell in love with the place as soon as I saw it.
With its inner and outer harbour, lined with working fishing boats, wharfs and other dockland paraphenalia, Mevagissey was a sensory delight, and in the end we made two extended visits here, capturing the views and ambiance at different times of the day.
This image is one of hundreds taken as day gave way to night over the outer harbour, in order to create my Mevagissey Timelapse #2 video.
This frame shows a lovely balance between the cool blue tones of twilight and the rich warmth of the artificially lit houses and businesses on the far side of the harbour, all reflecting in the still evening waters.
