A stunningly beautiful place when the sun shines!
This view is from the Valley of the Rocks at Lynton on the north Devon coastline, looking out over the azure waters of the Atlantic ocean while fluffy white cumulus clouds drift by overhead, painting a patchwork of light and shadow over the sea and dramatic cliffs.
My wife Liz and I spent a day exploring old haunts around Lynton and Lynmouth on the way back home from our summer holiday in Devon, and a walk along the Valley of the Rocks was on our 'must see' list.
Mind you, the walk took longer than expected as I had to keep stopping to take the hundreds of photos needed to create time lapse videos of the amazing views and cloud play.
This image is one of those I shot at the time to create my Valley of the Rocks Timelapse #1 video, standing vigil over my tripod and camera, precariously balanced on the edge of the huge cliffs as the stiff ocean breeze made my eyes water.
What an amazing stretch of coast!
