Driving back to our holiday cottage after a day my wife Liz and I spent exploring the dramatic Atlantic coastline of the Hartland peninsula in North Devon I just had to pull over into a farm gate to photograph this beautiful sunset.
Ordinarily I wouldn't have bothered to get my camera unpacked for a sunset against a flat horizon, but the presence of two large wind turbines in a field next to the road provided that extra 'oomph' to the scene that changed my mind.
So much so that I also filmed a few seconds of video of the rotating wind turbines silhouetted against the glowing sky.
