I was driving home from work one day on a cold, clear winter's evening along the A548 through Deeside, North Wales.
The sun had just set, leaving a beautiful orange glow on the western horizon, which transitioned to the blue of twilight higher in the sky.
The light was so lovely that I had to pull over into a convenient layby to admire the view and hopefully capture a photo or two of the contrasting colour gradient.
Needing some structural elements to hold my image's composition together, I settled on a convenient streetlight on the far side of the dual-carrigeway, with the shapely lines of the Flintshire suspension bridge punctuating the skyline in the far distance.
Maybe not my usual photographic fare, but an eye catching combination of colour, light, shape and structure nonetheless.
