During the coronavirus lockdown in the autumn of 2020 my wife Liz and I spent quite a bit of time discovering new places to visit and photograph in our locality.
One such discovery was the Greenfield Heritage Park, an eclectic mix of woodland, manmade reservoirs, decaying industrial buildings and the ruins of Basingwerk Abbey.
Following the industrial trail took us past a series of reservoirs and gutted factory buildings, all having used water to power their machinery.
This lovely little cascade down a series of weir steps is typical of the historical features still in place to be enjoyed here at Greenfield, surrounded by autumnal woodland.
