A trip to the North Wales coast for a stroll in the bracing sea air is a treat my wife Liz and I always enjoy.
But sometimes a stroll along the West Shore promenade at Llandudno can be more bracing than expected!
Such was the case on this afternoon in November 2020, with a stiff onshore breeze blowing showers in off the sea which had us scurrying for cover.
But as the saying goes 'Bad weather makes good photographs', as a brief burst of sunlight lit up a rain squall over the headland at Penmaenmawr.
The effect only lasted a minute or so before the clouds blocked the sunlight once again, so I'm glad I had my camera in hand and set up ready to capture this image.
