Clinging to its semi-submeged rock like a limpet, this is the incredible 'Lone Tree' growing out of the waters of Llyn Padarn in the Snowdonia National Park, North Wales.
Beloved by photographers, myself included, this view has it all.
A dramatic mountainous backdrop, great light (sometimes!) and a foreground element to die for, so it's no wonder that there are so many images of this scene gracing the internet and being entered in photographic competitions.
So why should I add my two pennyworth?
Well, for one, it's a scene that I love so why not just enjoy composing the best images I can here and not worry about adding to the pot.
But for me the best reason to photograph this tree is that, although I can position my tripod in virtually the same spot as other have before me, that actual view will always be different.
Seasons change, the weather changes, light changes, the level of the lake changes, the reflectivity of the water changes.
In fact, pretty much everything in this supposedly static scene changes on a minute by minute basis, execpt for the stunning beauty of course!
So why not capture 'just one more' image of this well photographed scene.
After all, what's in front of your eyes will never be repeated.

Filters - Polarising filter used to enhance colours. 2 stop neutral density graduated filter used to reduce the brightness of the clouds.
