Surely one of the loveliest views in Wales (and that's saying something!).
This is the scene looking across the Mawddach Estuary towards Cader Idris in southern Snowdonia, from the Barmouth side of the estuary next to the iconic railway bridge that crosses the tidal flats to the far side.
An unseasonably warm and sunny Saturday in late September 2020 found my wife Liz and I heading south from our home in North Wales to explore this beautiful stretch of coast.
I photographed this scene as we walked from our car towards the railway bridge, eagerly anticipating walking across for the first time in our lives.
What a great way to spend a sunny Saturday!
