It's quite a climb up to the summit of Moel Famau, the highest peak in the North Wales Clwydian range of mountains (hills really), especially when laden down with several pounds of camera gear.
So why bother? Especially when you have to get out of bed at 3.30am to get to the top before sunrise.
On this occasion, I wanted to make a time lapse video of the sun rising behind the silhoutte of the ruined Jubilee Tower, a project I'd had on my 'to do' list for quite some time.
I'd tried this twice previously, but on one occasion cloud cover stopped play and on the other occasion my lens hit dewpoint and seriously fogged over, but this time I actually suceeded and took enough still images to make my Moel Famau timelapse #7 video.
Out of the several hundred RAW files I took that morning, I've selected this one to present as an image in its own right, showing, as it does, the clouds gently underlit by the as yet to rise sun - just lovely.
