I was driving home from work one day on a cold, clear winter's evening along the A548 through Deeside, North Wales.
The sun had just set, leaving a beautiful orange glow on the western horizon, which transitioned to the blue of twilight higher in the sky.
The light was so lovely that I had to pull over into a convenient layby to admire the view and hopefully capture a photo or two of the contrasting colour gradient.
Needing a structural element to hold my image's composition together, I settled on an electricity pylon on the far side of the dual-carrigeway, which provided a dramatic and stark shape in silhouette set against the evening sky.
Maybe not my usual photographic fare, but an eye catching combination of colour, light, shape and structure nonetheless.
