A chilly March afternoon found my wife Liz and I strolling along the beach at Talacre on the North Wales coast as the sun dipped towards the western horizon.
The warm, low angled light was just gorgeous, highlighting the ripples in the sand on the wave washed beach exposed by the ebbing tide.
As we walked along my eye was caught by this solitary seashell sitting on the ripples and casting an elongated shadow across the sand.
So a pause in our stroll was called for, as I framed up a few exposures featuring the shell and sand ripples, being careful where I put my feet!
