My wife Liz and I had been enjoying a brisk March stroll along the windswept sands of Talacre beach on the North Wales coast, and were heading back to our car when, looking back to check the approaching sunset, I spotted this horse and rider in the far distance.
With the horse and rider approaching rapidly I just had a few moments to compose a couple of shots, featuring the solitary duo silhouetted against the glowing sunset sky as the brisk breeze blew a fine layer of sand across the beach.
Quite a dramatic scene, which I was really glad to be able to capture in time before Liz and I were overtaken and the moment passed forever.
