A solitary figure braves the cold March winds blowing across the vast expanse of sand that is Talacre beach on the North Wales coast.
Of course, it was my long suffering wife Liz who was bundled up to the nines for our sunset stroll, silhouetted against the glowing skies as the sun found a brief gap between the lowering clouds on its way down towards the western horizon.
Standing patiently while I composed and took this atmospheric image as we were returning to our parked car, still some way off, Liz certainly earned my respect and thanks that afternoon!
The inclusion of a human element in this composition take the image from a mere landscape photo, nice though that would have been, into the realms of storytelling, adding so much more interest to the scene.
