A very early summer's morning, just after sunrise, and I had the normally crowded North Shore promenade at Llandudno on the North Wales coast all to myself.
I'd spent the previous hour and a half shooting time lapse, video, and still images of the iconic Victorian pier and old wooden jetty, but was loth to go home just yet.
So I set up my camera and tripod on the prom to shoot the 39 overlapping still images I needed to create this 360° interactive panorama.
But with the sun still very low in the sky I was casting a long shadow, which would appear in the panorama - not good.
But then I spotted the sign for boat trips, itself casting an extensive shadow, so I positioned myself in the sign' shadow which was just big enough to cover my and my tripod's shadow.
And then it was finally time to pack up and head home, just as the first of the day's holidaymakers started to appear.
Move your mouse or finger around the image to explore this iconic seaside town.
