One of the most stunning, but little known, views on the North Wales coast is this overlook on the Sychnant Pass, high in the hills above the town of Conway.
Through a gap in the hills this panorama unfolds, taking in the Great Orme, Llandudno, the Conwy estuary, Conwy Morfa and the A55 expressway.
The first ever time lapse video I produced was shot from this spot, and I made myself a promise that I would come back here and re-shoot the video one day, when my skills had advanced and I could overcome the technical mistakes I made the first time around.
In August 2016 I finally kept that promise to myself, spending the evening high up on the Sychant Pass, shooting hundreds of frames as day faded into night and the lights of the A55 and Llandudno came to dominate the scene.
The resulting time lapse video was a much better affair from a technical point of view, although the twilight lighting wasn't quite as magical as on that first attempt.
This still image is one those hundreds that I took on that night, just at the point where the artifical and natural light came into balance.
