During our two week stay spent exploring the beautiful landscapes and coastlines of Devon and Cornwall, my wife Liz and I made a couple of visits to the olde worlde seaside fishing village of Port Isaac on the Atlantic coast of North Cornwall.
Port Isaac has become quite a tourist attraction, and even though we visited just after the schools had gone back after the summer break there were still plenty of visitors enjoying the ambiance.
Even so, we were able to find some secluded spots along the cliffs lining the harbour at low tide as we walked past pools and rocks out to the impressive breakwaters protecting the town from the ravages of the ocean.
I was surprised to see this solitary house, perched high on the cliff edge overlooking Port Isaac.
It made a great focal point for this image, giving a sense of scale to those imposing cliffs.
