For the quintessential British seaside experience you need look no further than Llandudno on the North Wales coast.
Retaining much of its Victorian charm, when other coastal resorts have abandoned theirs, Llandudno attracts visitors from all round the world to enjoy the pier, the promenade, Punch and Judy shows and a plethora of other genteel attractions.
I'm blessed in that I live just a forty five minute drive away, so my wife Liz and I can go for a stroll along the North Shore promenade whenever we choose.
Which is what we decided to do on a blustery and cold afternoon in early March 2020, just before the coronavirus lockdown came into force, and I'm so glad we made the effort, as it could be quite a while before we can go back again.
But at least I've got a really extensive selection of videos and still images shot around Llandudno over the years, to remind us how lovely the North Wales coast can be.
Such as this panoramic collage that I photographed on that blustery afternoon in March, taking in promenade and pier, backed up by the imposing bulk of the Great Orme.
