One of the most photographed lakes in the Snowdonia National Park, this is Llyn Mymbyr, just outside Capel Curig, and I have to admit to having taken more than my fair share of images here as well!
With the peaks of the Snowdon Horseshoe to the west, this a great place to see gorgeous light, either at sunrise as the mountains glow pink in the first light of day, or at sunset as the sky over the summits colours up under the influence of the low angled rays, with reflections in the (occasionally) still waters of Llyn Mymbyr below.
I captured this image of the mountains and lake just after sunset on a wonderful clear spring evening, with a beautiful twilight glow in the sky that rendered the landscape as a graded silhouette, sandwiched in between the vivid irridescence of the sky and water.
