The full moon casts an eerie glow over the waters of Llyn Mymbyr in the Snowdonia National Park, North Wales, on a cold night in February, lighting up the surface of the water together with the surrounding mountains and forest.
High in sky above a bank of cirrus clouds shine white against the star studded deep blue of outer space, while around the side of the lake the A5 trunk road is spasmodically lit up by the bright headlights of a passing car.
This is a fantastic time to be out and about photographing the night time scenery, especially in such a dramatic location which can be equally stunning by both day and night.
Mind you, I was glad to get back to the warmth of the car once I'd finished shooting - it was cold out there!
