The west facing coast of North Cornwall is an ideal place to enjoy a spectacular sunset over the Atlantic ocean from, especially if you can find a secluded bay with waves crashing onto the shoreline right in front of you.
Such as Crackington Haven pictured here at high tide.
My wife Liz and I 'discovered' Crackington Haven during our two week holiday spent exploring the beauties of Devon and Cornwall with the help of our Ordinance Survey map, and we were so taken wth the place that we made a few visits here at various times of the day and tide, taking in as much of the dramatic scenery as possible.
But this particular evening belonged to the sunset, with sunbeams and glorious colours adorning the far horizon as a stiff onshore breeze crashed waves and spray onto the rocks just a few metres away.
These was plenty of filter cleaning going on during this photoshoot!
