My wife Liz and I were out for a stroll on the coastal path at Deeside near our home in North Wales when we saw this tidal race fighting its way against the flow as the tide came in up the river Dee estuary.
It was quite a dramatic sight, with the Flintshire suspension bridge and the Connah's Quay power station in the background, so of course I stopped to take a few photos before the line of disturbed water moved past on its way upriver.
